"So you managed to get the jewel." James Rayner looked down at the jewel, his face barely masking the anger.
"Sorry to disappoint you." Saoirse smiled back, feeling good. He looked up at her, his face twisting in rage before he masked it.
Returning his attention back to the jewel he spoke again. "Well I am surprised. Good job." He wrapped the jewel back in the cloth before turning his focus back on Saoirse.
"Is there anything else?" She asked, suspecting something.
"How is your daughter, Ana? Is she doing well?" He asked, a small smile playing on his lips. Her eyes narrowed.
"She is doing fine."
He nodded and picked up a piece of
"Kayden, I heard you went to Max's party tonight." He looked up to see a reporter standing in his door. The one and only tenacious Pamela Aaron stood in the doorway of his office. He came back after taking the report of the theft. It involved Saoirse so of course he was going to stick his nose in the case even though his job description did not involve petty theft.
"And?" He cocked his eyebrow at her. Pamela is the perfect description of the Barbie doll. Tall, skinny with large perky breasts, small waist and long blonde hair all the way down to her waist, Pamela had no trouble getting what she wanted, except with Kayden.
"His little prec
Everything went according to plan. Saoirse set off the alarm in the maid's room before quickly disappearing into another room and waited while the guards checked it out. She even saw the great Max Payten go into the room. Perfect. While they were busy searching for her, she quickly closed and locked the door, laughing to herself quietly. Luckily for her, one of the guards left their keys unguarded and she was easily able to make replicate keys.
She heard rattling and yelling while she made her way down the hallway and using another replicated key, went into the room with the jewel. This was a little too easy. She quickly glanced around the
Kayden had to do everything he could to not punch Max Payten in the face. Max has come onto him before and every time he had to gently remind him that Kayden didn't bat for his team but here he was, trying again. Kayden clenched his fists and felt his anger slowly rise.
He'd rather be anywhere but here tonight. He'd rather be out in the alleyways looking for leads on the ever evasive Saoirse than being here. But someone had tip him about her going after the huge jewel so he decided to come check things out. As far as he was concerned, Max Peyton deserved to lose his damn jewel and learn to use his money for something more productive like g
Another boring party was finally ending.
From Saoirse's perch in the tree she can actually see the entire front lawn and everybody coming and going. If she knew this job was going to be so difficult, she wouldn't have been so quick to accept, she knew when James looked at her with his annoying smirk he had something planned. The boss was only setting her up for failure. Everyone in the Family knew how he felt about her, she was too stubborn, too much of a while card and she refuses to bow down to his feet or kiss his ass.
After about another hour of watching traffic move in and out of the mansion, everything started to calm down,

in response to Ice and Fire by Robery Frost
I don't want the world to end in fire,
Or in ice.
From what I've seen people acquire
I think it will end before a cease-fire.
But if the world had to end twice
I think I've seen enough of death
To say that for destruction, disease
Will also take our last breath
And would appease
She writes her heart out to him,
with words that rhyme and lines with meaning,
with phrases filled with love and beauty.
Every word, every line, every comma
and period, important for him to see.
She writes her thoughts out to him,
with feelings untold, unnoticed,
unrealized but soon to exist.
Every image, every description, every idea
and impression, written for him to read.
She writes with the belief that everything will change.
Whether for good or bad,
she wills herself to do it.
To take the risk and struggle with words,
to let him simply know that she,
herself, is there for him.
